My challenge to parents today is this...consider having, at least, an equal commitment to providing a nourishing environment in your home; a safe place of peace and unconditional love, where kids are getting their needs met on a regular basis. The words we speak, the way we respond, and the patterns in our homes will all have a much more profound effect on our children's futures than a processed food ever will. There is more to health than just the physical body. As parents, we are also stewards of our children's mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
Ask yourself, what would it look like for me to value the quality of my parenting at least as much as I value the quality of food that I serve my family?
Would I redirect funds from another area?
Would I find out if what I am doing now is healthy or unhealthy?
Would I seek out support and accountability?
Thoughts on this? We'd love to hear from you!
